We're adding two new players to our network and currently running 7.0.22.  However, due to political hoopjumping, my team is not ready to make the leap up to 7.1.

Does anyone have any experience/advice/knowledge on the difficulty of downgrading a new player?

Hi there,

Downgrading a channel player is actually pretty simple. Just un-install the actual 7.1 (Add/Remove programs) and then install the 7.0.22.

Hi there,

Actually downgrading a player is pretty simple. Just get in your Content Manager server:

1. Open up the Channel Player Utility (Start | Programs | Visix | Channel Player Utility)

2.  Click the 'AxisTV Services' tab and click the 'List Services' button. Select all the axistv services and click the 'Stop Selected AxisTV services' button.

3. Click the 'Update Players' tab. Click the 'List Players' button. This process will list all reachable and unreachable players. You may want to click the 'List Players' button a second time just to make sure of all your reachable and unreachable players. Select the player you want to downgrade and click the 'Update Selected Players'

This process should downgrade your player from 7.1 to 7.0.22
