Error message using Mass Alert Notification CAP interface (SOLUTION ID #22502)

Issue #1

Customer receives the following error message in AxisTV Error Log and on the Main Page after switching to a Mass Alert Notification mode using the CAP interface:

Error Details (by # in the summary list):

DS1-TEST03#1#

Exception Tei.Common.AxisException

Assembly:    Tei.Content.Management.dll

Error Code:  Tei.Content.Update.ActivateAlertNotification.1

Description: Cannot activate 130.160.142.11. Player is not connected. Please select 'Close' to continue.

   at Tei.Content.Update.Execute(ActivateAlertNotification request)

   at Tei.Content.Api.RequestProcessor.ProcessRequest(Byte[] requestState)

Solution #1

This error is caused when message text is typed after an <enter> in the CAP interface. Customers use the <enter> key to get a 2nd paragraph of text. The Space Bar should be used to add spaces instead of the <enter> key to get paragraphs in the message.

*************************************

Issue #2

Some of the text is not visible in the overlay that was used in the CAP interface to create the Mass Alert message.

Solution #2

There is a 253 character limit for messages using the Mass Alert Mode at this time.

*************************************

Issue #3

Customer could not get the AxisTV to switch modes to the Mass Alert Mode called Other in the CAP interface from Blackboard

Solution #3

AxisTV only supports CAP modes. There is no CAP mode called Other. Customer should avoid using this choice.
