AxisTV device does not automatically power onSOLUTION ID 17702Issue: An AxisTV device does not automatically power on after an eternal loss of AC power.
Reason: There have been isolated instances where AxisTV devices shipped from Visix with an incorrect BIOS configuration that may cause this issue.
Solution: Edit the BIOS configuration. The procedure differs depending on which hardware configuration Visix was delivering at the time. Basically, at bootup, on the BIOS Splash screen, click the appropriate key to edit the BIOS (usually F2 or Del) and use the cursor keys to navigate to the proper menu.
Some examples of the BIOS setting include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Power | After Power Failure - value should be set to Last State
- Chipset | South Bridge Configuration | Restore on AC Power Loss - value should be set to Last State
- Power Management Setup | AC PWR Auto Recovery - value should be set to Former-Sts
Save the change and reboot the device.
